Medical Aid in Dying: An Overview with Chris Palmer

During this program, the following topics will be covered:
• What MAID involves
• Provisions included in MAID designed to ensure it is carried out ethically
• Voluntarily Stopping Eating and Drinking (VSED)
• Complications that arise for those with dementia
Chris Palmer is an end-of-life activist, author, educator, and a trained hospice volunteer. He serves on the boards of a number of organizations focusing on end-of-life issues, including Montgomery Hospice. He has written ten books — the latest, is Achieving a Good Death: A Practical Guide to the End of Life (Bloomsbury, October 2024).
