About FHNN Memberships

With two membership options, FHNN helps older adults lead a rich life and feel secure in the comfort of their own homes.

Social Membership: Connect with others and enjoy our social events and educational programs.
Full Membership: Stay in your home with the support of our volunteers. This includes benefits, like rides, tech help, grocery shopping, social visits, and more! PLUS you get all of the social and educational programming of a Social Member.

Social Membership

Social Membership is a great way to meet new people and enrich your life. It's your passport to unique social, educational, and cultural programs developed by FHNN specifically for our members.

AND, it's a great bargain: 75 percent of your social membership dues is tax deductible.

Full Membership

As we age, sometimes small tasks can become complicated. As a Full Member, everyday tasks become easier with help from FHNN volunteers, including:

Rides to doctors, stores, and events
Grocery and Rx deliveries
One-on-one tech coaching
Social visits and conversation
Errands around the neighborhood
Companions for walking
Light household repairs and chores

PLUS, you get access to all our educational, cultural, and social program.

All services are done by dedicated neighborhood volunteers. It's a model of neighbors helping neighbors that makes the Village system so special. Our volunteers are all background-checked and receive in-person, one-on-one training.

We'll meet with you at the time of your Full Member application to discover your interests and needs. Together, we'll come up with a support plan tailored just for you. Our Member Handbook details how these services work.

Membership dues cover barely one-third of our operating costs. Your support enables us to continue serving seniors in the Friendship Heights community.
